Iron WorkerAs an Iron Worker, you will be instrumental in fabricating and assembling structural steel components for diverse construction projects. Your role involves interpreting blueprints, welding, cutting, and ensuring the precise installation of metal structures. Join our team to contribute to the creation of resilient and visually striking buildings, bridges, and more.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFabricate and shape structural steel and sheet metal, following blueprints and engineering specifications.Interpret architectural plans to accurately execute steel installation, reinforcing concrete, and erecting steel frames.Utilize welding and cutting techniques to create, modify, and repair metal components.Direct crane operations to facilitate the movement of steel materials around construction sites.Ensure the alignment and precision of steel columns, beams, and girders during installation.Secure steel bars to reinforce concrete structures, contributing to overall stability.Collaborate with the team to find innovative solutions for construction challenges.Inspect and assess older metal infrastructure for repair and restoration.Apply plumb bobs, laser equipment, and other tools to ensure accurate alignment.Safeguard adherence to safety protocols throughout the construction process.Assist in the installation of finishing components, including stairs, handrails, and curtain walls.Thoroughly check completed work for quality, making necessary adjustments.RequirementsProven experience as an Iron Worker or in a related role.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.Strong welding, cutting, and metal fabrication skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in construction environments.Ability to operate cranes and direct crane operations safely.Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.Physical stamina to work at heights and in various weather conditions.Relevant certifications in welding or ironworking are advantageous.Working ConditionsPhysical work environment, including outdoor and elevated spaces.Flexible work hours may be required to meet project deadlines.Travel to different construction sites may be necessary.Exposure to various weather conditions and noisy environments.Physical RequirementsLifting heavy materials and equipment.Extended periods of standing, walking, and climbing.Operating machinery and tools safely and effectively.Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
