– Oversee day-to-day security operations, including internal and external access control, CCTV monitoring, lost and found, and incident response and investigation.

– Maintain and administer the property's Fire Safety and Emergency Action Plan (FSEAP), coordinating regular fire drills, evacuation procedures, and staff training in accordance with NYC Local Law and FDNY requirements.

– Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation to support audits by FDNY, DOB, OSHA, and insurance carriers.
– Serve as an active member of the property's safety/risk committee, partnering with cross-functional leaders to:
• Support implementation of the health, safety, and security management system
• Drive engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement in safety culture
• Review incidents, trends, and risk mitigation strategies at the property level
– Collaborate with People & Culture and property leadership on on-property investigations.
– Maintain a strong partnership with Rooms and Guest Experience teams to ensure security and safety protocols support a seamless guest experience.
– Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
Requirements:– Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
– Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive experience in hotel, commercial, or residential building security/safety management, with direct responsibility for Fire Life Safety compliance.

– Hands-on experience managing third-party contractors and vendors, including scope negotiation, scheduling, and quality control.
– Current or ability to obtain required FDNY certifications (e.g., Fire Safety Director, Fire Guard, or equivalent as required for the property's occupancy classification).
– Strong knowledge of incident response, investigative techniques, and emergency/crisis management procedures.
– Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
– High integrity and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
– Proficiency with MS Office, CCTV and access control systems, and fire alarm panels.
